Why this place?
Czocha Castle is a place that has made its mark in the history of world cryptoanalysis and cryptography during World War II. 80 years later, in peacetime, one of the Market Geeks moves his workshop here for a few days a year, trying to decipher the behavior of Smart $$$ on stock exchanges across the ocean.
What was the workshop’s agenda?
- Detection of Smart Money activity - tests of the integration of an application processing COT data with the data engine Cribl and the QRadar SIEM system, which helps detect big $$$ activity (in chronological terms) through the entire analysed equity portfolio.
- Containerization of applications - a strictly non-market topic, but data analysis is 100% based on technology. Current processes/systems will be migrated to containers so they can be easily moved between machines or to the cloud.
- Analysis of geopolitical situation - verifying scenarios regarding possible escalations of global armed conflicts in the coming months.
Entertainment
Where there’s work, there must also be fun. The trip was combined with attending the International Crocus Jazz Festival (24th edition, 23-26.10.2025), so there was plenty of jazz.
From a culinary perspective, tasting local Lusatian cuisine (and more) at the castle restaurant, and coffee from different parts of the world in Jelenia Góra (Vietnam’s Robusta won this competition.)
The countdown to next year’s workshops has already begun.
